Here are some tips to live a more stress free life:
1. Organize your mental life. A lot of stress comes from having too much to do in what feels like very little time. Buy a calendar and mark it up with anything and everything you have planned. You can also get a marker board and write down notes for the day and days ahead. Planners, cork boards, notebooks, etc all help with organizing you life.
2. Organize your living space. Sometimes an unorganized or messy living area can bring on stress. To calm the nerves, first of all, relax. Then grab a broom, and whatever else you need to sweep, dust, mop, or wipe down anything you can. Also, turn a cluttered pile of papers into an organized file cabinet, or turn a kitchen area that stores things into a peaceful place of cooking. It feels good to walk into a clean organized home knowing where everything is at and having a relaxing time at home.
3. Always make time for yourself to relax and do something fun. No matter how many things you have planned in the day, always make time to relax and do something fun because it gives the mind and body a time to just let go and relax. We all need to treat ourselves to things sometimes no matter how big or small. It can be a small thing like drinking tea or taking a bath to something big like going on a vacation or driving off to somewhere serene and quiet.
4. Cultivate your spiritual self. At times in life when we feel very stressed can be the times we have to look to a higher power. Go to church. Read your Bible. Pray. Get involved in the things of God of He will get involved in the things of you.
5. Rid yourself of any negative thing in your life. Negativity does nothing but bring you down. Limit conversations with people who try to bring you down becase it is not worth the stress. Any negative TV programs or websites should be let go of.
6. Fill your life with positive things. No, life is not perfect, but to fll it with as much positive things as you can can do a great wonder. Start small if you have to by replacing the negtive with positive and move up.
7. Take detailed notes of your strengths and what you love abut yourself. Analyzing our strengths and thins we love about ourselves can do wonders for our self esteem which makes us feel great and equals very low stress levels.
8. Wear that favorite outfit more often. There is nothing wrong with looking nice. If there is an outfit that you just love to wear but don't wear it too often, pull it out and wear it.
9. Work out. Exercising releases endorphins into the body that makes it feel great and relaxed. Even if you don't work out often you don't have to sign up for a 5K, you can merely take a long walk, or a short walk. Anything extra to add to the nomal routine of moving around helps.
10. Laugh as much as you can. Laughing actually loosens up the tenseness of the body, eases pain, and feels good to do. Laughter really is good medicine!

How beautiful it is to do nothing, and then to rest afterward. ~Spanish Proverb
Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are. ~Chinese Proverb
